Gum graft boosts dental implant success in small study
NCT ID NCT07573020
First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using a special gum graft material (acellular dermal matrix) around new front tooth implants helps the gums heal and reduces bone loss. Sixteen adults with a damaged front tooth received an implant right after the tooth was removed. Half got the extra gum graft, half did not. The study measured gum thickness and bone levels around the implant to see if the graft made a difference.
