Cheaper dental materials may give better implant results, study finds

NCT ID NCT07196293

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tested two common, low-cost dental materials (light-cure composite and Protemp) for making custom healing caps for dental implants. The goal was to see which material helps the gum tissue heal better and look more natural. Thirty adults with missing teeth received implants and were followed to compare gum health, pain, and appearance. The results may help dentists choose a reliable, affordable option for their patients.
