Blood-Based gels battle for better dental implant healing

NCT ID NCT07319494

Summary

This study is testing if a newer version of a blood-derived gel (Advanced Platelet-Rich Fibrin, or A-PRF) works better than the standard version (PRF) for healing after a dental implant is placed immediately after a tooth is pulled. Researchers will put one of these gels into the gap around the new implant in 16 patients to see which one helps preserve jawbone thickness and improves gum healing over 6 months. The goal is to find the best material to support the implant and help it integrate with the bone.
