Could a hyaluronic acid gel improve bone healing after tooth removal?

NCT ID NCT07099846

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether a gel made from hyaluronic acid and polynucleotides, combined with a bone graft, helps preserve jawbone after a tooth is pulled. Forty adults needing a single tooth extraction will be split into two groups: one gets the graft and gel, the other heals naturally. After 4 months, a dental implant is placed using a fully digital process, and participants are followed for up to a year. The goal is to see if the gel improves bone quality and healing.
