Promising combo for tough prostate cancer hits roadblock

NCT ID NCT03869762

First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tested a combination of two drugs—denosumab and enzalutamide—in men with a type of advanced prostate cancer that no longer responds to standard hormone therapy and has spread to the bones. The goal was to see if the combination could delay cancer growth or improve survival. Only 7 participants were enrolled before the study was stopped early, so the results are limited.
