Kenya study aims to break dementia stigma in rural communities

Summary
This study tests a program designed to reduce the stigma around dementia in rural Kenya. Researchers will first survey and interview community members to understand local beliefs, then refine an existing anti-stigma program. Finally, about 184 adults from Mbooni Sub county will take part in a stepped-wedge trial to see if the program improves dementia attitudes and knowledge over time.
