Can a poster and a checklist stop Post-Surgery confusion?
NCT ID NCT07202208
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple set of tools can prevent delirium, a serious state of confusion, in older adults recovering from hip fracture surgery. The tools include an orientation poster, a clock, and a checklist for family caregivers to follow. Researchers will compare patients who receive this 'Delirium Zero' protocol to those who receive standard hospital care.
