Can a poster and a checklist stop Post-Surgery confusion?
NCT ID NCT07202208
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple, family-led protocol called 'Delirium Zero' can prevent delirium (sudden, severe confusion) in older adults after hip fracture surgery. It will involve 140 patients over 65 and their caregivers in Spain. The protocol uses tools like an orientation poster and a checklist for caregivers, and will be compared against standard hospital care.
