Healthy volunteers help check if eczema cream is safe in the sun
NCT ID NCT04361136
First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This early-stage study tested whether delgocitinib cream, a treatment for skin conditions like eczema, can cause skin irritation when exposed to light. Thirty-five healthy adults received a single application of the cream and a placebo on different skin spots, then were exposed to UV light. Researchers checked for redness or other reactions up to 48 hours later to see if the cream makes skin more sensitive to light.
