First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests a drug called deferoxamine in people who have had a type of bleeding stroke (aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage). The drug works by removing extra iron that can harm the brain after the bleed. About 120 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo, and their recovery will be tracked for 6 months. The goal is to see if the drug improves survival and reduces disability.
