New hope for kids on dialysis: drug aims to stop deadly bloodstream infections

Summary
This study tests a drug called DefenCath to see if it can prevent catheter-related bloodstream infections in children (birth to under 18) with kidney failure who are on dialysis. About 36 kids will get either DefenCath or the standard infection-prevention treatment. The goal is to see if DefenCath keeps kids infection-free longer and is safe to use.
