First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive brain stimulation technique called deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (dTMS) can help ease depression in people with bipolar disorder. About 100 adults with bipolar depression will receive either real or fake dTMS alongside their usual medication for 4 weeks. Researchers will track mood changes and thinking abilities to see if dTMS offers extra benefit.
