Brain pacemaker may restore walking after spinal injury

Summary

This early-stage trial tests whether deep brain stimulation (DBS) of a brain region that controls movement can improve walking in people with incomplete spinal cord injury. Five participants will receive a DBS device and be followed for 6 months. The goal is to see if the treatment is safe and helps with walking distance and speed.
