NCT ID NCT05149742

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether severe hearing loss in adults aged 45 to 64 is linked to mild memory or thinking problems. Researchers will compare cognitive test results from 180 participants—half with severe hearing loss and half with normal hearing. The goal is to understand if hearing loss affects brain function earlier than previously thought.
