Summary
This study tested a new treatment that combines standard smoking cessation help with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), a proven therapy for suicide risk. The goal was to help veteran smokers who are at high risk for suicide quit tobacco. 67 veterans took part, and the study measured how many stopped or reduced smoking, and also tracked changes in sleep quality.
