New drug cocktail shows promise for tough lung cancer

Summary
This study tests a new drug called datopotamab deruxtecan (Dato-DXd) combined with immunotherapy, with or without carboplatin, in people with advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The goal is to see if the combination is safe and helps shrink tumors. About 155 adults whose cancer has not responded to other treatments will take part. This is an early-phase trial focused on safety and tumor response, not a cure.
