NCT ID NCT05942833
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study looks at whether having surgery soon after a severe diverticulitis attack (within 7-10 days) is better than waiting 6-8 weeks. About 136 adults with complicated or recurrent diverticulitis will be randomly assigned to one of these two surgery timings. The main goal is to see which approach leads to better quality of life and fewer complications.
