First seen Jan 13, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether a DASH-style diet (rich in fruits, vegetables, and low-fat dairy) can reduce the risk of forming new kidney stones. About 48 adults with a history of kidney stones will eat either a DASH diet or a typical Western diet for one week, with all meals provided. Researchers will measure urine changes to see if the DASH diet lowers stone-forming substances.
