First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at whether the DASH diet (a heart-healthy eating plan) can improve liver health in children with a type of fatty liver disease called MASLD. About 88 children aged 11 to 18 will either follow the DASH diet or continue their usual eating habits for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in liver fat, blood sugar control, and other health markers to see if the diet helps manage the disease.
