Summary
This study tested whether giving lung cancer treatments based on the genetic makeup of a person's tumor could improve outcomes. About 50 adults with non-small cell lung cancer that came back after initial treatment received either immunotherapy (atezolizumab) or targeted drugs like vemurafenib or alectinib, depending on their tumor's mutations. The goal was to see how long the cancer stayed under control and to learn which genetic markers predict response.
