New drug aims to halt early blood cancer before it starts

Summary

This study tests a drug called daratumumab in 42 adults with high-risk MGUS or low-risk smoldering multiple myeloma, conditions that can lead to blood cancer. The goal is to see if the drug can deeply reduce abnormal cells and prevent progression. Participants receive treatment for up to 20 cycles, and researchers track how many achieve a very good partial response or better.
