First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests whether dapagliflozin, a drug already used for diabetes and heart failure, can help prevent further heart damage in people who have had a major heart attack. About 450 adults with weakened heart pumping function will receive either the drug or a placebo for 6 months. The goal is to see if the drug improves heart function and reduces the risk of future heart problems.
