Can dance classes slow Parkinson's brain changes better than walking?
NCT ID NCT04122690
Summary
This study is testing whether a specific type of partnered dance exercise is better than regular walking at reducing Parkinson's disease symptoms and potentially protecting the brain. Researchers will compare the two activities in 82 people with mild to moderate Parkinson's over 16 months. They will measure symptom 'off-time', thinking skills, and use brain scans to look for signs of brain cell protection.
