First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether a 7-week personalized ballroom dance program (PB-Fit) can improve walking, balance, and quality of life in people with Parkinson's disease. About 50 participants will be randomly assigned to dance or usual care, and researchers will check if any benefits last 12 weeks after the program ends. The dance classes are adapted to different ability levels and include styles like waltz and swing.
