Can dancing keep Alzheimer's away? study tests rhythm against memory loss
NCT ID NCT05507905
Summary
This study aims to find out how many dance or music appreciation classes per week are best for supporting memory and heart/lung fitness in older adults who are worried about their memory but do not yet have a diagnosis. Researchers will enroll 165 adults aged 62 and older and randomly assign them to attend classes 1, 2, or 3 times a week for six months. The goal is to see if regular, enjoyable movement and music can help protect brain health in people at risk for Alzheimer's disease.
