New hope for elderly brain cancer patients when standard chemo fails

NCT ID NCT07476794

Summary

This study is testing a different way of giving a common chemotherapy drug (temozolomide) to elderly patients with a specific, hard-to-treat type of brain cancer called glioblastoma. The goal is to see if giving the drug on a modified schedule can help slow the cancer's growth and help patients live longer. The study is for patients aged 65+ whose tumors have a genetic marker that makes them less likely to respond to the standard chemotherapy treatment.
