First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests a new robotic surgical system (da Vinci SP) for removing part or all of a lung or the thymus gland. It involves 32 adults with early-stage lung cancer, benign lung disease, or thymoma. The goal is to see if the robot can perform these surgeries safely and effectively, tracking complications and how often surgeons need to switch to a different method.
