First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tested a simple technique called cystoinflation, where the bladder is gently filled with saline during surgery, to see if it prevents bladder injury in women with placenta accreta spectrum (PAS). 84 women with PAS were randomly assigned to receive either cystoinflation or standard care. The goal was to see if this approach reduces bladder injuries and improves surgical outcomes.
