Summary
This study tested a new medicine called CVL-231 (Emraclidine) in 391 adults with schizophrenia who were having a sudden worsening of psychotic symptoms. The goal was to see if the drug could reduce symptoms like hallucinations and delusions better than a placebo over 6 weeks. Participants took either 15 mg, 30 mg, or a dummy pill daily, and their symptom changes were measured using standard rating scales.
