Summary
This study tested a new drug called CVL-231 (Emraclidine) in 391 adults with schizophrenia who were having a sudden worsening of psychotic symptoms. Participants took either a low dose, a high dose, or a placebo pill daily for 6 weeks. The goal was to see if the drug reduces symptoms like hallucinations and confusion better than a placebo.
