First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tested whether custom-made titanium plates, designed using virtual surgery planning, work better than standard 3D lambda plates for fixing broken jaw joints. Twenty-four adults with this type of fracture were treated, and researchers measured surgery time, pain, jaw function, and mouth opening. The goal was to see if the custom plates lead to more accurate and stable healing.
