NCT ID NCT04731844

First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This pilot study tested whether a daily supplement of curcumin (from turmeric) and piperine (from black pepper) could slow or stop disease progression in 30 patients with early-stage prostate cancer, MGUS, or low-risk smoldering multiple myeloma. Participants took the supplement twice a day for up to 12 months while staying on active surveillance. The goal was to see if the supplement could reduce cancer markers or prevent the disease from getting worse.
