First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a curcumin supplement (the active ingredient in turmeric) can lower inflammation and improve symptoms in people with certain blood disorders, including low-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN). About 30 adults will take either curcumin or a placebo for 12 months. The goal is to see if curcumin reduces inflammatory markers and helps with symptoms like fatigue and pain.
