Turmeric compound tested to keep prostate cancer at bay

Summary
This study tests whether taking curcumin (a compound found in turmeric) after prostate removal surgery can help keep prostate cancer from returning. About 650 men who had their prostate removed for cancer will take curcumin or a placebo. The main goal is to see if curcumin lowers the chance of cancer recurrence, measured by PSA levels in the blood.
