Breathing tube pressure linked to sore throat after surgery
NCT ID NCT05542823
First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at 337 people having laparoscopic surgery to see if the pressure in their breathing tube during the operation affected whether they had a sore throat afterward. Researchers measured how long the pressure was too high and checked for sore throats 1 and 24 hours after surgery. The goal was to understand the link, not to test a new treatment.
