This study tested two techniques to make nasal intubation (placing a breathing tube through the nose) safer and less likely to cause nosebleeds. Researchers compared softening the tube with warm water versus inflating its cuff with air, using a video scope to guide placement. 140 adults having elective surgery participated. The goal was to see which method reduced bleeding and made tube navigation easier.
