New hope for blood cancer patients: experimental drug CTX-712 enters human trials

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called CTX-712 in adults with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or high-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) that have come back or not responded to prior treatments. The goal is to find a safe dose and see if the drug can shrink or control the cancer. About 225 participants will receive the drug in two phases, first to check safety and then to measure how well it works.
