New pill aims to tame dangerous immune overreaction in cancer treatment

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called CTO1681 to see if it can prevent or reduce cytokine release syndrome (CRS), a serious side effect of CAR T-cell therapy. About 54 adults with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma will take the drug three times daily for 15 days starting just before their CAR T-cell infusion. The goal is to make CAR T-cell therapy safer and more tolerable.
