Blood test may predict rectal cancer outcomes without extra treatment

NCT ID NCT05629442

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study is for people with a certain type of rectal cancer that hasn't spread. Researchers want to see if a simple blood test that looks for tumor DNA can help track the cancer and find if it comes back earlier than usual scans. About 60 participants will give blood and tissue samples, but no new treatments are being tested.
