Finger-Prick blood test could replace needles for cancer monitoring

NCT ID NCT07310537

First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a small drop of blood from a finger prick can be used to detect tumor DNA in patients with colorectal cancer that has spread to the liver. Researchers will compare results from the finger-prick method with standard blood draws from a vein. If successful, this could make cancer monitoring easier and less invasive for patients.
