Blood test may predict lung cancer recurrence

NCT ID NCT07186855

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study looked at 500 people with non-small cell lung cancer who had surgery. Researchers used a blood test to find circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and checked if the number or type of these cells could predict whether the cancer would come back. The goal was to learn how well CTC monitoring works for forecasting recurrence, not to test a new treatment.
