Massive study aims to make High-Tech CT scans safer
NCT ID NCT07305103
Summary
This study aims to establish new safety standards for radiation exposure from advanced 'spectral' CT scans, which provide detailed images but expose patients to X-rays. Researchers will analyze data from 9,600 patients who had one of 20 common types of these scans in France. The goal is to create clear guidelines to help hospitals minimize radiation doses while maintaining image quality for better patient safety.
