NCT ID NCT07296224
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a simple CT scan before weight-loss surgery can help predict when the surgeon might need to change their plan during the operation. Researchers reviewed data from 288 patients who had surgery for obesity. They found that certain measurements from the CT scan, like the size of the left part of the liver, were linked to a higher chance of needing a change in surgical approach.
