First seen Jan 18, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study aims to create a checklist of simple clinical signs that can identify blunt trauma patients who do not need a CT scan, reducing radiation exposure and healthcare costs. Researchers will evaluate 12,000 emergency department patients to find which signs reliably rule out serious abdominal or pelvic injuries. The goal is to safely avoid CT scans in low-risk patients without missing any significant injuries.
