First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests a new plastic mouth retractor for throat surgery to see if it works as well as the standard metal one. The retractor holds the mouth open so surgeons can access the throat. The plastic version may allow better CT scans during surgery. About 20 adults with oral or throat cancer will take part.
