Chilling out during a root canal: can ice make the procedure less painful?

NCT ID NCT07264829

Summary

This study aims to see if applying cold inside a tooth during a root canal can reduce pain felt during the procedure. It will compare two methods of applying cold (a special dental ice and ice sticks) against the standard treatment in 90 adults with a severely inflamed tooth nerve. The main goal is to find a simple way to make this common dental procedure more comfortable for patients.
