First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tests a procedure that freezes the nerves around broken ribs to see if it reduces pain and helps people breathe better. About 30 adults with at least two broken ribs and severe pain will either get the freezing treatment or standard pain medicine. Researchers will track pain scores, breathing tests, and recovery over time.
