Summary
This study tested a procedure called cryoablation, which uses cold to numb nerves around broken ribs, to help elderly patients manage pain. The goal was to reduce complications and help them get back to normal activities faster. 127 patients over age 65 with rib fractures took part, and the main focus was on pain levels at hospital discharge.
