Summary
This study tested a procedure called cryoablation, which uses cold to numb nerves around broken ribs, to help elderly patients manage pain. The goal was to reduce complications and help patients get back to normal activities sooner. 127 adults over 65 with rib fractures took part, and the main focus was on pain scores at hospital discharge.
