Summary
This study is testing whether a quick finger-prick blood test (CRP point-of-care testing) can predict a serious complication called anastomotic leak after planned colorectal surgery. The goal is to catch leaks earlier, reduce the need for repeated blood draws, and help patients recover faster. The study will enroll 500 adults undergoing elective colorectal surgery.
