Heart attack study measures inflammation after artery repair

NCT ID NCT05233176

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at how a marker of inflammation called C-reactive protein (CRP) changes in the blood of 35 people having emergency angioplasty for a heart attack. Researchers took blood samples before the procedure and at several time points up to 30 days after. The goal was to understand the body's inflammatory response during recovery, not to test a new treatment.
